A few comments...

I've decided being pregnant while working at an elementary school (and possibly even more in the special education setting) might be one of the more entertaining places to experience the whole thing...

Here's a few of the recent comments from my students...

"Mrs. Abell, you are getting WAYYYYY too fat to be at school anymore. Go to your doctor and have them take out that baby!"

"Mrs. Abell, you aren't sitting very close to the table anymore, is the baby in the way???"

"Mrs. Abell, are you having a baby or just really fat?"

"Mrs. Abell!!!! You aren't eating, are you ok?"

"Mrs. Abell, you should have a girl. Girls are way better than boys. Who would want a gross boy in their tummy?"

"Do we have to have a sub Mrs. Abell? I think I just won't come to your class while you're gone..." "Yeah, can't you just bring the baby to school and take care of it here so you don't have to miss us??"

And a comment that has nothing to do with my pregnancy, but I couldn't stop giggling at...

A student trying to read the word "know". First attempt, she sounded it out exactly how it looks. My response: "Actually, the K doesn't make any sound" Student: "Oh ok, now." Me: "Well actually, it says no." Student: "WHAT?!?! THAT IS JUST PLAIN STUPID. IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE. I WON'T EVER READ THAT WORD JUST BECAUSE IT IS SO STUPID."

Have a great day! :)
