As you can tell, we've undergoing a LOT of changes as a family these days...
I've spent a lot of time with God and this verse: "Trust in him at all times, O people, pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge." Psalm 62:8 I'm working really hard on trusting God at all times and, I'm sure as most of you have noticed-Sometimes that's really easy, other times it isn't. But, God sure is working. Now that Derrick is graduated and I'm not working, I tend to struggle with the fact that we don't live near family (I know, you see pictures ALL the time, we certainly are blessed to see the often). But, God likes to remind me in the most wonderful, perfect to me, ways that we're home. I know that right now, we're exactly where God needs us to be. I know Kansas City and Fellowship of Grace is God's plan. I do not know where Derrick is going to get a job to support me staying at home and raising our daughter but, even in that, I know I'm supposed to be home with her.
Moments like this
show me we're home. God's got us taken care of. God's blessed us with friends who love us and our daughter like family. We really do have family here, even if it's not those we grew up calling family. I have so many other moments like this captured in memory rather than my camera and, for that-I'm eternally thankful.
