Bye Bye 2010.

Well, 2010 is over (I know it's been over for a few days now, but this blog took FOREVER)! There are a lot of things that were absolutely amazing about it, and others I could have just done without. This blog is a bit of a recap of our year for you. I only put up things I REALLY, REALLY want to remember about 2010. I'm absolutely positive I forgot something here or there, but I think I got the main things. Hopefully. :)

First and foremost, I want to remember us as a family. We really grew close this year and it was certainly a blessing beyond blessing to be a part of. Who knew a kid could make life so completely amazing?! Another amazing thing I've gotten to observe this year is my husband, Derrick, becoming the most amazing, most wonderful husband, father, and man of God. He had one busy year and did it all seamlessly. We've always felt loved and the center of his world while he's made sure to do everything (and more) that was necessary for his job at church, graduate from seminary, as well as apply, interview, and obtain a job working with computers to support our little family so I could stay home and be a Mommy. Wow. What an amazing guy. God, you sure know how to bless a girl. Thank you so much.

This picture is of Addi and some of her friends at church. This is really the only picture I have to represent our church, so it's going to represent WAY more than just the nursery (even though that's a huge blessing in itself). Our church has had a whirlwind of a year. Honestly, it started with quite a bit of heartbreak but it's become an even better, stronger, and more amazing place because of it. Fellowship of Grace is now truly, and most wonderfully, our family in Kansas City. We probably wouldn't be here in this city (without biological family) if it weren't for our church. The people are the most amazing and wonderful people that we LOVE living life with. God is truly helping us change our world for you. And it's so great to work with people who are listening to Him. Ok. Done with that explantation. I promise, they aren't all that long. ;)

Aunt Maggie and Uncle Chad's Wedding! We LOVED being a part of their wedding (if I do say so myself, Addilyn is the tiniest, cutest flower girl, ever.). They might feel a little differently about us being a part of their day however. We sure did bring with us a yucky tummy virus.

While Mommy was working, Addilyn
got to spend lots and lots of time with
Daddy and Grannie. We are so SO
thankful that Addi got this special
time with her Grannie! Grannie
sure brought extra blessings to
each of us when she was here!

cute outfits
and an even cuter smile

Lots of road trips to see family!

Our girl turned ONE.

Spring Break trip California.
What a wonderful time with fantastic friends!

Derrick's GRADUATION. Wow. I'm proud of him.

Aunt Kelly and Uncle Andrew's Wedding!! It was SO MUCH fun for our whole family to be a part of it and to see my sweet girl dancing around like she owned the dance floor.

Family was around than ever this year!

The fountains!

Dance Parties.
Anywhere and Everywhere.

The opening of Mom's store, Addi's.

Addi's new ability to make, remember, and care about friends. It's one amazing thing to watch her grow up.

This fall. For the simple, amazing, wonderful beauty it held. It was the first fall we've ever had that wasn't dictated by a school schedule-and it was GREAT! Wow. Honestly, just thinking back to this fall and all the trips to the park, zoo, and anywhere else outside puts a smile on my face. I sure LOVE, LOVE getting to stay home and be with this precious gift from God everyday.
Skype.
This kid LOVES to skype.
And, we've learned just how close
far away family can feel.

Halloween
because I never realized it
could be that much fun.

Youth Group
We've really enjoyed our time with these kids
and love getting to know them better.

Addilyn's love of dogs, helping, and any attention/love from family she can get!
