We took 10 of our youth group kids to a Dare 2 Share conference this past weekend. It was truly amazing!! There were 6,500 kids there learning how to be comfortable in sharing their faith with their friends and even strangers. It was wonderful to see our kids grow and mature in their faith.
At one point in the conference, the students were challenged to call/text their friends that they knew weren't Christians. Most of our kids did this and had some great conversations, 3 of our girls called friends and got into deep conversations with them-and their friends accepted Christ and were excited to start coming to church and youth group with them!!!!
Another challenge in from the conference:
Go to a public place and attempt to start a spiritual conversation with strangers. Our girls were having a hard time and oh so nicely asked..."Mrs. Anna, we're a little scared, can you show us how?" Oh gez! But, after such an...awkward example, these girls each got into one, if not two or three conversations with strangers! What great examples to us.
Yep, late March=challenges due to snow.
It is gorgeous though...even if it is hard to appreciate in March.
