Like throwing fits in Target, leaving the house without perfectly matching cute clothes on and hair done, or allowing your child to drink soda well before any 'good' parent would do so? Well...
One of my TOP pet peeves is hearing toddlers or small children use the word butt to describe their backside. I hate, hate, hate it. It makes me cringe every. single. time. I know, it's weird. Blame my mom, she's the one that taught me to be that way. ;) Well, guess what word keeps coming out of my daughter's mouth?
Yep. Butt. of all words...butt.
If she's saying bottom or back, it sounds like butt. She really, honestly, doesn't know the word butt-that's just what it comes out sounding like. And it drives me crazy.
So, we've taught her the word 'tush' for her bottom. And back is slowly sounding more like 'bact'.
But, I just can't get her to say anything else for diaper. We've tried to get her to say the name of the character on the diaper...but with traveling and having all different kids of characters, she can't keep up.
So, she requests a new 'butt' whenever her diaper is dirty.
Please don't judge my parenting on this issue.
