Derrick heard this song as we were really feeling called to start this adoption process now, even though it doesn't make any sense financially, and decided it was our adoption anthem. I was going to bold the phrases that described our situation the most, but really, they all do. We are usually 'play it safe' types. We have savings accounts and five year plans, etc. Not now (just for the record, we do believe in savings accounts-but the money we have already spent on adoption are depleting most of it). We chose to be reckless with our faith and surrender all we have to follow Christ. In everything, not just adoption. But, that certainly seems to be the forefront of our recklessness right now.
