On Monday, Addilyn asked if we could go see her Polar bear. After thinking about it, I decided we may as well go out and enjoy the 50+ degree weather we've been having before it turns to normal January weather. So, off we went.
Only once we got there did I realize this was my first time on such a big trip by myself with both kids. I'm always afraid that when we aren't in contained spaces and I sit down to nurse Josiah Addilyn's going to run off...but it went perfectly! Both kids did great, better than they've been at home!
POLAR BEAR. Addilyn's very favorite part of the zoo.
Josiah hasn't really napped in almost a week, unless on Mommy. As soon as we got to the zoo, he was out. :)
This slide goes from the top floor to the bottom, Addilyn really wanted to go down it but I explained that since Josiah was asleep, we couldn't go down to catch her. "'Dat ohey, Mommy. I do it by myselv."
A few months ago, my girl would have NEVER done this. She barely would go on the slide by herself, much less climb up the steps back up to me by herself too.
Climbing up to see the Meerkats
Look who woke up!
The independence continued. She was fine to go play all by herself, without help from Mommy or Mommy even needing to be near her.

A Successful zoo trip.
Both babies asleep in the car when we get home.
No Pants Afternoon
After the 4th outfit for the day on Josiah and a faulty naptime pull up for Addilyn, no one got pants until it was time to leave again
We ended the day watching one of our youth kids play in a high school basketball game. I thought Addilyn would love the cheerleaders...nope. They were interesting enough but she really love the electric guitars and drums that the incredibly loud (yes. I'm aware I just made myself old.) rockish band was playing.
