You may remember that a goal I had for this year was to have 1000 specific things to be thankful for throughout the year. I started out the documenting process really well then slowly stopped doing such a good job. So, for March, I started doing the JOY Dare (same thing I was talking about earlier) for way to help me specifically look for and find things to be thankful for everyday and therefore, be filled with thankful praise each day. I'm using Instagram to document (mrsannabell, if you want to follow). I'll try to each week put the last 7 days of things on here so I can remember them years down the line when this is printed out and on my shelf.
Here's what the March Joy Dare looks like:
Day 1: 3 gifts at 3pm
1: Popcorn, all to myself.
2:Showers for boys who like to play with poop. (yuck!)
3: a nap all by himself this afternoon.
Day 2: 3 gifts green
1: Nourishing food for my little guy (and a green bib!)
2: Daffodils growing
3: Big green books (and jammies) that really just want to snuggle.
Day 3: 3 Gifts Wore
1: My kids. Who wear my heart (and who are 'worn' all day)
2: My new necklace.
3: My wedding ring. The most important thing I wear. Not because of material worth but because of what it represents0a life FOREVER with the one God has given me.
Day 4: 3 gifts hard to give thanks for (I accidentally deleted my cute collage)
1: Leviticus. I'm (trying) to read the Bible through this year and am stuck in Leviticus. Thank you Jesus for coming back so I didn't have to follow all those rules throwing blood the right way and stuff...
2: Being awake all the time
3: (not hard at all to be thankful for) that sweet hand that reaches up and plays with my hair while he's eating.
Day 5: 3 gifts found:
1: secret healthy food for Addi. She wouldn't eat that either. ;) But I am thankful that I had a place to buy groceries so easily.
2: found my Moby Wrap cause it was a day that nothing could happen without holding a baby.
3: Stickers on the baby's back. (Addilyn's really into stickers lately...)
Day 6:
A gift bent: Love my girl bent over to swing on her belly.
A gift broken: Thankful for the guy fixing the lights at the park to have safe places to play
A gift beautiful: My healthy kids, happily playing together.
Day 7: 3 gifts in the kitchen
1: my precious family
2:a clean sink for the emergency bath that morning
3: a kitchen never truly empty of food.
