Party Day

A few pre-party and pre-nap pictures.

Addilyn helped Great Grandmother pick flowers to make the house look nice. She picked her own outfit. :)
Lucy really liked the balloons.
Addilyn did too, but she preferred making bubbles.
Notice the clothes? The sunglasses? Smell the sunscreen? It was nearly 80 degrees for her birthday party. In March, in Missouri. Girlie-don't get used to that, it'll probably never happen again.
Grannie found farm themed pinatas! We got them all opened just before the rain downpour started.
Addilyn wanted Aunt Kelly to help her open presents. Then Grannie, then anyone who would. She was a little overwhelmed with the attention I think. And, she doesn't really get the keep opening until they are all opened thing. She'd prefer to open one and play with it until she's ready for new entertainment.

Cake!!!
Lucy didn't mind getting messy and sure enjoyed her cake.
Addilyn made sure to inform us she would use a fork so she didn't get so messy.
I think she had two bites. But she loved the ice cream!
Cutest baby boy I've ever seen.
He slept through most of the party (we do not wake him on the few times he sleeps well) but eventually woke up and enjoyed his time, in his farmer best.

Addilyn, we sure love you. You amaze me everyday with all the things you know and understand. I LOVE that we can carry on conversations now. You'll tell me all about something you want to do or something you remember about. Your creativity and playing pretend is starting to emerge and it's so much fun to watch! You tend to get embarrassed if we say anything about things you are telling your babies or food you are cooking while you are in your own little world but if we're playing with you you'll go right along with it. It's awesome! You love your little brother, even if you are a little rough with him sometimes. You were so excited to have a birthday party with baby Lucy-You did a great job! We love you more than you know!
