THREE

I woke our sweet girl up that morning (only because it was daylight savings and we had to go to church...she doesn't sleep in!)and told her happy birthday. She did a quick stretch and said, "Mommy, I no three yet, I no touch the ceiling." She was sure when she was three, she'd be big and would be able to touch the ceiling. Once I explained that Mommy is big but she can't touch the ceiling, she could move on and get dressed. On the way to church she decided it was ok that she wasn't SO BIG yet because sometimes three year olds like Mommy's to hold them and need to hold hands across the street.

At our church, being 3 means you move from the nursery to the preschool class. Since we went to 2 services this month, she spent the 1st service in the nursery eating birthday cake and the second service in the preschool class. She just walked right in without looking back.
She joined the group during snack time, ready to eat the yummy cinnamon rolls (one of her very favorite things) we made for all her friends.
Mrs. Rhonda gave her a sweet birthday/so sad you are leaving the nursery present. Seriously. She's beautiful.
Tried to take her out to lunch but the post-sick day exhaustion hit her and she told us she was feeling 'just a little sick' and wanted to go home and take a nap.
After her nap and a little skyping with both sets of grandparents, she was ready to be sung to and blow out candles. She REFUSED to be sung to all day, until this moment. Apparently, happy birthday can only be sung when blowing out candles and just with Mommy and Daddy.
On her birth day. On her 3rd birthday.
How is it possible she changed this much? Wow, kid. We love you and are amazed by you each and every single day.
