We went to the beach twice while on vacation. The water was FREEZING but the kids loved it. The first time, most adults didn't wear swim suits or anything because it wasn't hot outside and we didn't think we'd get far in the water. We learned otherwise very quickly. The kids are going to go in, no matter what. The second day we were ready, so was rest of Maine. It was hot for their weather-80 degrees or more! (we came home to 105...) Addilyn could have stayed for days. She's asked twice now that we've been home if we could go to the beach tomorrow.
