Addilyn went to the dentist for the first time a few weeks ago. The days leading up to it, she kept telling me "I'm scared to go to the dentist." "I don't want to go." "I don't like dentists." So..I arranged to have a babysitter during her appointment because I was sure she'd be a mess and I didn't think I'd be able to take care of Josiah at the same time. But, my girl is amazing. She was a little unsure but did AWESOME.
We left the dentist with her saying...
"I was a little scared, Mom. But I was brave."
I have no idea how I'm going to contain my excitement/proudness as she grows up because just that she went to the dentist even though she was scared made me almost jump out of my own skin wanting to cheer her on or cry or something. Then to come out with her and the babysitter tell me that Josiah did great too without any crying, just playing and eating puffs...I wanted to cheer or cry happy tears again.
