Birthday Girl

11 on the 11th because the 10th was boring.

The day I became a Momma
When Addi was one, two, three,
and FOUR

She was very excited about Daddy's choice in presents. He even found her a flying car.

'Helping' Mommy clean the kitchen so we could make a birthday cake

 Taste Testers

A KU Shirt in the mail from GG. "Daddy! It's like you shirts!!"

A fun card came in the mail from Aunt Kelly and Uncle Andrew.

Cake Designer. She wouldn't let me help. "I can do it, Mom. Four year olds can do stuff theyselves."

Josiah enjoyed the finished product.

Sugar. Sugar. And...a little more sugar. completely and totally 100% designed by Addi.

We don't have any family that lives close. But, Addilyn got a phone call, facetime call, skype call, or texted video of 'happy birthday', from each Aunt, Uncle, Grandparent, and cousin. Nicely done family. She felt SO loved.

The Birthday 'Party'
aka: we had snacks for life group that night (by design) and brought bday cake for snacks and sang to our girl. She really and truly looked forward to it all.day.long. She told everyone she was going to Cierra's house to sing happy birthday that called her throughout the day. She was so excited to get to celebrate with her friends. It was awesome and I am so so so amazingly thankful for a great loving church who loves our girl like we do and can have a 'family birthday party' when there isn't any blood relatives around. My heart was full.

It has been an amazing four years. I can't believe it's been four!!! Happy Happy Birthday sweet girl. We love you to the moon and back, to Florida and back, to Nannie and Pops and back, and to Grandma and Papa's and back. (she uses all those distances to describe her love for us! ;) ) You make our world brighter each and every day and I can't imagine life without your joy.
