TWO.

Look who turned two last week!

The morning started with donuts

and our boy attempting to make two fingers stick up-he can't quite do it but he always tries.

When people would call to send videos telling him Happy Birthday, his response back was always Happy Birthday. He totally did not understand it was HIS birthday, not everyone's and it was completely adorable. Before his birthday we even tried to prep him to understand it was his birthday coming up and he was going to be two and his response was, "Yeah. People keepin' tellin' me dat. Dey say Happy Birthday Josiah."

So we continued the day, focused on our little man. We had a picnic lunch with all the kids we were babysitting that day (five of them!), played outside, sang Happy Birthday, had Josiah blow out a candle, ate cupcakes, and dung in the dirt. Perfect two year old birthday party. :)

The mail came that afternoon, which was all for Josiah that day. Cards and presents from his Great Grandparents. What a blessing!

So blessed with our Josiah. He makes every day a little bit more fun. Thankful for all his changing and growing in the last year, but that he's still so snuggly. He talks so very much now (I never imagined having two amazingly verbal kids in our house-it's loud around here!!) and repeats everything big sis says. He loves everything to do with a ball and is quite skilled with it! He constantly wants to 'bump' and 'spike' and just today found a tennis racket and wanted to play dog-ball like Austin (one of our youth kids). Josiah, who wasn't a big fan of eating much about a year ago, is a great eater now! He eats most of what we give him- his favorites are watermelon and grapes, chicken nuggets (dipped in ranch and ketchup), yogurt, and still- food pouches. My little dude still has to be rocked to sleep for naps-otherwise he just screams the entire nap time (yes, I've tried the cry-it-out method and been tough, thank you very much. It doesn't work for him and I don't mind having to stop and love on him everyday.) but goes to bed at night easily after a book and song. He's successfully gotten out of his crib once but rarely even tries-just one night when I left Sissy watching 101 Dalmatians (his very favorite) while I put him to bed after he had watched Addilyn climb out of his crib when they were playing in it earlier in the day. Bad move Momma. The only movies/shows he cares to watch are 101 Dalmatians (and the horribly done sequel), Beauty and the Beast (he's getting a good roar like the beast), and Tangled ('Long hair, SILLY HORSE' is his preferred title). He'll typically watch Daniel Tiger with Addilyn in the mornings solely because it's snack time and Mommy's Bible study time so he doesn't get attention from me.
I love being his Mom.
