Last night, I was supposed to lead youth group but Josiah's 6 month shots had left him VERY cranky so Daddy went and I stayed home with the kids. Can't say I was overly excited about it... I really love helping with the youth and cranky babies all the time is no good for anybody. But, it actually turned out great! Josiah was exhausted and went to bed around 7 (easily, i might add!) So, I got some much needed one on one time with my girl.
As bad (or completely terrible) as it is, I was starting to get annoyed with Addilyn all.the.time. Poor kid. Her crazy loudness, boundless energy, and constant need to do things with me mixed with my complete exhaustion levels and a needy baby brother sure did not bring out the best of my parenting skills lately.
But, last night, I got time with just her. No TV, no cleaning, no nothing. Just my girl and I snuggled on my bed, coloring, talking, and taking pictures.
Falling deep in love all over again. It was pretty wonderful.
Addi, I'm so sorry Mommy doesn't have all the patience you deserve sometimes, I love you with all my heart.
