When I travel to Wash MO a lot...I have a hard time being content in where we are. I want to be closer to family. I don't need to live in their neighborhood or anything but closer sure would be nice. I hate that all family is far away. Always do. But, in an effort to remember how blessed we are here in Kansas City, we hit the ground running.
We went to the pumpkin patch with Mrs. Rhonda.
The kids really liked the apple slush. :)
Then we went to a church bonfire and hayride.
Addilyn tried to eat a hot dog, she ate a few bites then Josiah finished it for her. ;)
Josiah hated sitting on our laps for 30 minutes on the hayride. He just wanted to WALK!
Then, Derrick preached on Sunday. I love hearing him preach. I love seeing how God is using and changing him.
We really do love it here. Even when dreaming of living close to family, I nearly tear up thinking of leaving the people here. Who knows what God's plan is but we are focusing on contentment in where we are now. Thank you Jesus for family we miss and friends we're close to.
