Grandma and Papa came on a last minute planned (VERY unusual. they are typically planned months in advance) trip to visit us this past weekend. After a 3am wake up for Addilyn that would ONLY be calmed by seeing Grandma and Papa, we headed to the Y with Grandma Saturday morning to exercise and then go for a swim while Daddy and Papa went on a service project morning with some guys from our life group.
Then we met up and headed to lunch.
Grandma didn't really have any space to eat.
And Papa introduced Josiah to Dr. Pepper
Then we headed to a Halloween village at our pediatricians office for the afternoon. My in-laws are not big Halloween fans but they were great sports and seemed to have fun with it, which I really appreciated :). The kids were a little overwhelmed but enjoyed it.
Josiah didn't really love getting cleaned up from the sucker he completely covered himself in.
But both kids loved the walk from BabiesRUs to Target with Grandma.
And painting pumpkins Saturday night.
Helping Grandma and Papa deflate their bed is always a favorite.
Addilyn really really wanted to help rake leaves with Papa before he left. So, right before they left, everyone went outside to rake. I'm not sure Addilyn even touched the rake. She had a great time in the dirt pile though.
