Well we did it. Today we mailed in our contract (and a big check) to our agency and are officially 'paper pregnant'. After a year of prayer, discussion, reading, studying, more prayer, and more waiting - we’ve decided to follow what we believe is God’s will for our family by beginning the process to adopt an infant from Ethiopia. We realize this is a huge decision that will forever change the future of our family, and while we are already nervous and a little scared at times, we are humbled and excited to see how God will stretch our faith and grow us closer to Him through this process. As many of you have probably heard, adopting internationally is somewhat of a lengthy, complicated endeavor. While there are a lot of unknowns and hours of paperwork ahead of us, we are very excited to begin this process.
We
would love for you to partner with us by praying for us as we begin this adoption
process. Pray that we are unified in our excitement and that God would continue
to prepare our hearts to make this wonderful addition to our family. Pray for
our patience and organization with all the paperwork and ‘waiting’ part of this
process.
