We really had no idea who to expect for the 5k. None of us had lead a 5k before so we weren't sure what to expect but we were ready for anything. Turn out was great and I'm so thankful to my sis Maggie her husband Chad and Kelly and Andrew for all of their hard work!
The Set-up.
And they're off.
Derrick's parents came all the way from Oklahoma City to be there for the 5k! So grateful for them. And, see if you notice the trend of my kids placement in any of the next pictures. ;)
Thankful for sisters willing to do so much to help us bring our baby home. You two are awesome.
Family of four, praying and waiting for more.
My Aunt and Uncle and cousins drove out on the day of my cousins high school grad party. So you know they had tons of cooking and cleaning to do-but made time to come out. Amazing.
Josiah sure is cute.
One of the most influential people in our relationship (he lead the college group as we both starting going there and kind of nudged us into dating a little bit-as well as being a great example of a Godly family for us) came and brought his youngest daughter and some of her friends. Blessed.
Derrick's parents, my parents, my sisters-Maggie and Kelly, Kelly's husband Andrew, Niece Cecilia, my Grandparents, and my Grandmother. All there supporting us and ready to love on our baby. God you are good.
The 5k brought in $1500.00!!!! So exciting!
One more big step to bringing our baby home FOREVER.
We are so amazingly thankful for everyone who came out to run or walk, for each person who helped point people along which way to run (especially those that found their spots. I totally got lost. I have no ability to follow a map), for everyone who helped Maggie and Chad get ready, for each person who prayed for our event, and for everyone who continues to pray for our journey. We are forever grateful for each and every one of you.
