Winds are a changin'

We've had some CRAZY warm days, thrown in with a few days where we add layers through the night and I'm not warm until at least 11am. It's getting close to summer!! With the warmer weather, we've begun to really enjoy being outside again.

We've had Yogurtini nights with friends

Had a zoo day on Saturday as a family. It was great. Cool morning, warm afternoon. Our girl got to see all her favorites, HER polar bear (no pics, it's everyone's favorite and crazy crowded), Elephants, and snakes. Yuck. The other two, I totally understand. Snakes? No thanks.

While at the zoo, we rode the carousel and train as a family. Josiah wasn't a big fan of the train. Addilyn wasn't a big fan in the picture taking.

Josiah really likes chewing on ponytail holders. I love how it makes his cheeks poke out more!

The warm weather has also brought in LOTS of park days. And...English Landing park back to us! During the flood (right before Josiah was born), this park was under water for a long time and much of the equipment was ruined. They just recently reopened the playgrounds (the walking trail has been opened for awhile). When Addilyn was tiny, we came here all.the.time. She had no idea where we were the first time we came back. Now she gets super excited about it.
Josiah is learning to love park days too. He's really interested in eating grass and those helicopter seed things as well as looking through the holes in the floor of the play ground equipment.

Yesterday was an exceptionally warm day (upper 90s!) so we took advantage of it and had Yogurtini for lunch-they have dairy free options!!! Josiah and I both loved it! (the scowl on his face is because I paused feeding him for a picture) followed by...

Fun in the fountains.
The fountains were Derrick's idea-we both thought Addilyn be fine going in without a change of clothes with us since last year she just ran around the outside and barely got her feet wet. We momentarily forgot how much more adventurous and sure of herself she's become this last year.

She quickly reminded us.
And got soaking wet. It was SO MUCH fun to watch.

Thankfully Mommy had thrown in a pull up in case she was ready for a nap as we left, so we striped her down and she wore the pull up home. She had a wonderful, long, caused-by-the-fountains nakey nap.

While Sissy played in the fountains (Daddy was there, remember? He's got this awesome new job ;)) , I took Josiah inside to feed him...He decided he'd rather play!
